That is how the dream evolves

However, there is little time for romance when preparing dishes to present to local diners and visitors to the Mornington Peninsula.   But the chefs of the region have plenty of passion for local produce and the end result: meals of delicious proportions!

Staying true to their zest for quality, some of the top local chefs from within restaurants, cafes, wineries, pizza bars and other dining establishments entered this year’s Mornington Peninsula Regional Awards for Excellence presented by Mornington Peninsula Gourmet and Restaurant & Catering Victoria.

These business awards are not simply about the food, but about the complete dining experience – how each business handles attention to detail from the first point of contact, personalised service during time spent in the establishment, the food experience and the exit of the diner as the door gently closes behind them.

As one of the Awards judges said: “Overall the award outcomes highlighted some real gems on the Mornington Peninsula with several venues of a standard equivalent to Melbourne‘s finest dining experiences”.
