AUTUMN SEASONAL TABLE

17th March 2010

Mornington Peninsula Gourmet

More than 100 MPG members and friends joined together at Pier 10 recently to catch up with old friends, and make some new ones as well.  Chef  Daniel Bryan created a menu of canapés featuring local quinces, cheeses, crostini and more, which was enjoyed along  with some fine pier 10 wines.  Pier 10 has come a long way since its humble beginnings; from the simple concept of tending to a vineyard on weekends to a successful restaurant and cellar door. Guest Speaker, Bess Noxon from Main Ridge Dairy told of the journey of the Main Ridge Dairy.  Along with her husband Damien they had a dream to create cheese form their own goat herd, and have recently opened their property to locals and visitors who can enjoy sampling a range of their fine quality, handcrafted goat milk cheeses as well as have the opportunity to undertake a walking tour of the property.

Host: Pier 10 Restaurant & Cellar Door, 10 Shoreham Rd, Shoreham. Open Open Thursday - Sunday 12 - 5pm
