Merricks General Wine Store

Merricks General Store is a peninsula icon. Its origins date back to the rural 1920’s era providing both supplies and society to the local community. The Store’s prime location on the Hastings-Flinders Road nestled about half way between Balnarring and Flinders has been a destination for over two generations of visitors to the Peninsula, and the local community. In 2004 the store was refurbished and extended to create a modern amenity, and in 2008 has become the cellar door for Elgee Park, Baillieu Vineyard and Quealy - vineyards committed to realizing the greatness of the Mornington Peninsula. Our Bistro is open every day from 9am-5pm serving breakfast, lunch and snacks ideal for the wine tourists and locals. Our chef is Janine Richmond. Her love is seasonal produce and skillful cooking. Lunch bookings are recommended or get in early for a deliciously lazy brunch.
