Mother’s Day Luncheon, May 8
There are 2 sittings available – 12noon, vacate by 1.45pm and 2pm sitting
The menu consists of: Choice of 3 Entrées – Char grilled kangaroo fillet marinated in
Barmah Park cabernet and cracked pepper, served on a beetroot and apple rosti
topped with horseradish cream; Baked eggplant, goat’s curd and ricotta rotolo with
roasted tomato, garlic and rosemary sauce topped with shaved parmesan or Black
Rock smoked salmon tart with tomato, avocado and kalamata olives drizzled with a
creamy preserved lemon aioli and balsamic reduction. Then choose one of the
following Mains: Fillet of ocean trout, grilled and served on pan fried cherry tomatoes,
shaved fennel and red onion salad drizzled with lime aioli; Free range New Zealand
lamb rack marinated in rosemary, garlic and Ridge Estate extra virgin olive oil, grilled
and served on butternut pumpkin and fruit compote puree drizzled with Barmah Park
cabernet jus or Slow baked peninsula caramelized lemon chicken, in a rich tomato,
olive and oregano sauce, served on grilled polenta and roasted zucchini.
Then, of course, comes a mini taste plate Dessert containing Moorooduc apple
strudel with vanilla bean anglaise, Lemon meringue roulade with raspberry coulis,
Peninsula honey and yoghurt pannacotta with maserated blueberries, Home-made
Lindt chocolate ice cream on a tuille wafer
Cost? 3-course luncheon, $59 per person. $20 for kids under 13 (Kid’s menu)
